The local unit of Barclays appoints Sonali Sharma as Managing Director and Head of Legal

Sonali Sharma has been appointed as managing director and head of legal at Barclays India. She previously served as head of legal and general counsel at Bank of America. Her career began as a trainee at Mulla & Mulla before moving to Juris Corp. Sharma has extensive experience in capital markets and risk management. Several banks are bolstering their legal teams in response to regulatory changes.
