Indian Bank to add 100 branches, hire 2,500 as expansion shifts west

Indian Bank plans to open approximately one hundred new branches this year. The bank will also increase its workforce by about two thousand five hundred personnel. This expansion aims to strengthen its presence in Central and Western regions. Asset quality management remains a focus, with targets for reducing NPAs. The lender anticipates its gold loan book will surpass one lakh fifty thousand crore rupees.
