IDFC First Bankscam: CBI searches in Chandigarh, Ludhiana

The CBI conducted searches in Chandigarh and Ludhiana concerning a Rs 657 crore fund misappropriation. These searches targeted beneficiaries and public servants involved in the alleged fraud. Incriminating documents and digital evidence were recovered during the extensive searches. The investigation was transferred from Haryana's vigilance bureau to the CBI. This fraud involved siphoning government funds through forged fixed deposits and debit transactions.
