RBI approves P N Vasudevan's re-appointment as MD & CEO of Equitas Small Finance Bank

Vasudevan's current term as MD & CEO expires on July 22, 2023.​​​​ He had announced his intention to step down in May this year to devote his time towards social welfare through his public charitable trust.

RBI cancels licence of Rajasthan-based Sumerpur Mercantile Urban Coop Bank

The RBI has cancelled the licence of Sumerpur Mercantile Urban Cooperative Bank in Pali, Rajasthan, due to inadequate capital and earning prospects. Depositors will receive deposit insurance claim amount up to Rs 5 lakh from DICGC.
